SABC1’s ‘Skeem Saam’ Heats Up with New Star Power, Warren Masemola

SABC1’s hit daily drama “Skeem Saam” is about to turn up the heat with the arrival of two industry heavyweights, bringing fresh twists and thrilling new storylines that fans won’t want to miss.

Starting Monday, November 4, viewers will meet Gopane, played by the versatile Warren Masemola. A native of Turfloop, Gopane’s world is turned upside down when his son, Smaki, mysteriously vanishes. His journey leads him to Johannesburg, where he works as a taxi driver while relentlessly searching for the truth behind his son’s disappearance. Turfloop families better brace themselves, Gopane is on a mission to expose hidden secrets that could shake the community.

Masemola, known for his powerful performances, is excited to join the “Skeem Saam” family. “It feels like I’m back home in Limpopo. Growing up in Tshwane, the set of ‘Skeem Saam’ reminds me of my roots, it’s absolutely beautiful,” he shared. Fans are already buzzing with anticipation to see Masemola’s intense portrayal of a father determined to uncover the truth.

But that’s not all. On Wednesday, November 20, Lesley Musina will step into the role of Fefo, a character who brings nothing but trouble for Mr. Kgomo and Melita. With a charming and confident exterior, Fefo may appear harmless at first, but there’s a dark and dangerous side lurking beneath the surface, one that could spell disaster for anyone in his way.

Musina couldn’t be more thrilled to join the cast. “Shooting ‘Skeem Saam’ is a dream come true. The production is incredible, and I felt like part of the family from day one. The cast, crew, and everyone involved welcomed me with open arms. It feels like I’ve been here forever,” Musina revealed.

With Masemola and Musina’s explosive entries, fans can expect edge-of-your-seat drama as these new characters shake up life in Turfloop.
