South Africa Celebrates Zoalize Jansen van Rensburg, Crowned Miss World South Africa 2024!

In a spectacular display of grace and glamour, 18-year-old Zoalize Jansen van Rensburg has been crowned Miss World South Africa 2024. As the country celebrates her win, Zoalize, a digital and marketing executive at Ferrari South Africa, is gearing up to represent her nation on the global stage at the 72nd Miss World pageant, set to take place in February 2025. While the final venue remains a mystery, South Africa is brimming with excitement and pride as Zoalize prepares for this prestigious event.

Carol Bouwer, the license holder and President of Miss World South Africa Organisation, praised Zoalize for her stellar performance, saying, “Pageants are a festival of grace, diversity, elegance, and talent. Zoalize embodied confidence, intelligence, and the culmination of intense preparation and hard work.”

Joining Zoalize in the spotlight was first princess Nande Mabala, a 26-year-old model and media entrepreneur from Cape Town. Bouwer commended Nande’s efforts, saying, “You added to the glamour of the competition and should be proud of your achievements.” Both women delivered unforgettable performances that left an indelible mark on the competition.

However, it was Zoalize’s impressive “Beauty with a Purpose” project, Never Too Young to Advocate (NTYTA), that captured the hearts of the judges. NTYTA is a digital platform aimed at amplifying the voices of the youth, creating global visibility and empowering them to advocate for their causes. “Our organisation focuses on three pillars: educate, graduate, and advocate. Through social media, I want to enrich our community with mental resilience and self-empowerment,” Zoalize shared. Her project features workshops, daily affirmations, e-guides for building CVs, and global ambassadorship opportunities—truly a holistic approach to youth empowerment.

Beauty with a Purpose, a key focus of the Miss World competition, encourages contestants to develop and present impactful projects, and Zoalize’s initiative stood out for its creativity and passion. Bouwer lauded her saying, “Zoalize is more than just a pretty face. She is a force to be reckoned with—intelligent, driven, and down-to-earth.”

As Zoalize prepares to wear the crown named Peo—the Setswana word for “seed,” symbolizing growth and emergence—she is poised to become a beacon of hope and inspiration. “Your professionalism and poise throughout the competition set you apart as a true winner. May your success continue to sparkle like the crown you’ll wear,” said Bouwer, praising her journey since she was announced among the top 10 in July.

Zoalize’s dedication to her community doesn’t stop at NTYTA. She’s also involved with various charities, including Unchain Our Children, a non-profit fighting gender-based violence, domestic abuse, and human trafficking. She’s determined to bring home South Africa’s fourth Miss World crown, describing it as “a vessel for change” and expressing her desire to leverage its power for good.

As South Africa watches Zoalize step onto the world stage, the country is united in the hope that she’ll bring the coveted blue crown home once again. With her intelligence, compassion, and unwavering commitment to positive change, Zoalize is well on her way to making her mark—not only in the pageant world but as a global advocate for youth empowerment.
