WATCH: Paris Hilton’s Malibu home lost to California wildfires

In a heart-wrenching social media post, Paris Hilton shared her grief and gratitude after watching her Malibu home burn down in the ongoing California wildfires.

The socialite and entrepreneur described the overwhelming loss of her home, a place filled with precious family memories, as “something no one should ever have to experience.”

“Heartbroken beyond words. Sitting with my family, watching the news, and seeing our home in Malibu burn to the ground on live TV is something no one should ever have to experience,” Hilton wrote.

She recalled the deep personal connection she had to the home, which had been the setting for so many milestones in her life.

“This home was where we built so many precious memories. It’s where Phoenix took his first steps and where we dreamed of building a lifetime of memories with London.”

While the loss of her home is “overwhelming,” Hilton acknowledged that her family’s safety was a source of immense relief amidst the devastation.

“I’m holding onto gratitude that my family and pets are safe,” she shared.

“My heart and prayers are going out to every family affected by these fires.

“To the brave firefighters and first responders risking their lives to protect us—you are true heroes,” she said.

“Let’s protect one another and hold onto hope that these fires will soon be contained.”
