So, what does $825 get you in this fashionable world of luxury? A black oversized tee featuring not one, not two, but three striking images of Kardashian herself, all wearing the brand’s pieces. Of course, her name is prominently displayed on the front, while her printed signature graces the back. It’s the ultimate collector’s item for fans of both Balenciaga and the reality star.
This collaboration comes with a twist. Kim has been a long-time supporter of Balenciaga, but things got rocky in 2022 when the brand found itself in a PR nightmare. Balenciaga released an ad campaign featuring children holding teddy bears dressed in BDSM-inspired outfits, which caused an uproar worldwide. Kardashian, as a mother of four, was quick to distance herself from the brand and publicly voiced her outrage.
“I have been quiet for the past few days, not because I haven’t been disgusted and outraged by the recent Balenciaga campaigns, but because I wanted an opportunity to speak to their team to understand for myself how this could have happened,” Kardashian said in a statement at the time.
“As a mother of four, I have been shaken by the disturbing images,” she continued. “The safety of children must be held with the highest regard, and any attempts to normalize child abuse of any kind should have no place in our society — period.”

Later, Kim announced that she was rethinking her relationship with the brand, stating, “As for my future with Balenciaga, I am currently re-evaluating my relationship with the brand, basing it off their willingness to accept accountability for something that should have never happened to begin with – and the actions I am expecting to see them take to protect children.”
Reports followed that she had turned down an offer to be part of a 2023 Balenciaga campaign, likely in the wake of the controversy. But now, fast forward to 2025, and Kardashian seems to be back in the Balenciaga fold, this time with a new collaboration, fuelling fans’ fascination with the fashion brand once again.
