Zanele Potelwa Interviews Michael B. Jordan & Ryan Coogler at Sinners Premiere

Media darling Zanele Potelwa continues to blaze her trail across international red carpets — this time, at the star-studded premiere of Sinners, the latest box office hit making waves across the globe.

The multi-talented radio and TV host sat down in London with the cast and creators of the film, including powerhouse actor/director duo Michael B. Jordan and Ryan Coogler. Speaking about his dual role as twins Stack and Smoke, Jordan opened up about the intensity and depth the role demanded. “This one made me work,” he said. “Playing two people — who are so close, but so different — really pushed my limits as an actor.”

Meanwhile, director Ryan Coogler described Sinners as one of his most personal projects to date. “There’s a bit of my past in this story,” Coogler explained. “We put our hearts into it — it’s a mix of memory, energy, and relentless trust in the process.”

The film also stars Hailee Steinfeld and Wunmi Mosaku, who spoke with Zanele about the camaraderie on set. “We all learned so much from each other,” Steinfeld noted. “It was the kind of environment where you could fall, and someone would catch you,” Mosaku added.

Zanele’s charm, professionalism, and unapologetic pride in her roots were on full display. On the red carpet, she stunned in a bold creation by IMPRINT South Africa. During interviews, she turned heads in an elegant MaXhosa dress — both pieces serving as love letters to homegrown talent.

Reflecting on her experience, Zanele shared:

“It’s been such a beautiful ride — to be part of something this big, and to do it as a South African woman? I’m so grateful. I got to laugh with the cast, walk red carpets with Kim Jayde, and just soak in the magic. I really do feel like God’s favourite girl!”

Her interviews aired on Expresso and 5FM, with Warner Bros. Pictures South Africa behind the opportunity.
