On June 13, the Afro-soul sensation reached a new milestone with the release of his deeply emotional single, Phendula, now available on all digital platforms.
A tender ballad rooted in heartbreak, Phendula is a sonic journey through the highs of love and the lows of its unraveling. It’s a track that speaks directly to those healing from emotional wounds—those moments of regret, reflection, and unanswered questions that follow a broken heart.
“Phendula was inspired by real heartbreak—those painful moments when love lets you down again and again,” Vusi Nova shares. “It’s about turning that pain into something beautiful and healing through music.”
With just a teaser released weeks prior, the response from fans was immediate and heartfelt. The song’s soul-stirring lyrics, combined with Vusi’s velvet vocals and delicate melodies, struck a powerful emotional chord.

“Watching them soar and gifting the streets with more music—it’s a different kind of fulfillment,” he says proudly. At the core of it all is Afro-soul—a genre Vusi Nova continues to champion with passion and purpose. “It’s the sound of my story, my people’s struggles, and our joy,” he explains.
