Scorpion Kings Spread Love at Thuthuzela Orphanage

After dropping their highly anticipated album Bab’Motha, Kabza De Small and the Scorpion Kings Live With Friends production crew, alongside Mlindo The Vocalist, Tracy, Young Stunna, and Sony Music Africa, decided to turn Mandela Day into something truly special! Instead of just dropping beats, they spent the day honouring Madiba’s legacy in the most meaningful way: by giving back to the Thuthuzela Aid Community Centre, an orphanage in Alexandra.

With their historic Kings Rise Amapiano show—set to bring 50 000 fans together in an unforgettable celebration of music—just around the corner, the Scorpion Kings team still made it a priority to dedicate 67 minutes (and then some!) to uplift the community. And let’s just say, they brought more than just good vibes to the day!

The crew wasn’t just about the music. They rolled up their sleeves, refurbished the orphanage, painted common areas, and even served up a delicious meal for the children of Thuthuzela. It was all about creating an unforgettable experience for the kids, and boy, did they deliver!

But the giving didn’t stop there. The team also brought much-needed donations, including diapers, stationery supplies, non-perishable food, toiletries (think washing powder, toilet paper, baby powder, toothbrushes—you name it), all designed to make life a little bit easier for the children and staff.

“This isn’t just about the music,” said Mlindo The Vocalist. “It’s about giving back to the communities that have supported us and making a real difference. Mandela Day is all about love, service, and humanity—and we’re just doing our part.”

With a message that rings loud and clear, Kabza De Small, the Scorpion Kings Live With Friends team, and Sony Music Africa are inviting everyone—whether you’re an artist, business, or just someone who wants to make a change—to get involved. Let’s make a difference, not just on Mandela Day, but every single day. The more love and service we put out, the more we all rise together.
