Reality TV star and Real Housewives of Durban (RHOD) cast member Jojo Robinson has finally spoken out about the emotional fallout between her and former best friend Nonku Williams. For a long time, the duo known as “JoKu” were not just co-stars — they were sisters in spirit, bonded deeply both on and off screen.
In a deeply personal Instagram story, Jojo addressed the heartbreak of losing a once-inseparable friendship, confronting rumours that their connection was only for the cameras.
“Seeing comments on social media saying this friendship didn’t matter, it was for work, is really hard to see,” she wrote. “It was very real and it was filled with love and sisterhood.”
Jojo then addressed Nonku directly in a letter-like message that struck an emotional chord with fans.
“Dear Nonkie Nonks, I hope you find peace and love with whoever you choose in this life. I loved every second we spent together and I’m forever grateful for the friendship we shared.”
Acknowledging that they are moving in different directions, Jojo expressed hope that one day they might reconnect. But for now, she’s letting go with grace.
“Maybe it’s time for us to start our journey as just Nonku and Jojo, not JoKu anymore.”
“I forgive you and I’m also sorry for any part I played that upset you too. I understand now… and I’m okay.”
She ended with a heartfelt message to the fans who supported them through it all — the “JoKu Nation” — thanking them for their belief in friendship and love.
“Thank you for believing in love and friendship. Thank you for defending us. I’m sorry we let you down.”
