Jojo Robinson’s Body Art with a Side of Pain

Jojo Robinson just gave us a real look at her tattoo journey with a throwback post on Instagram, revealing what it took to build her second leg sleeve.

“Found pics from 2 years ago while we were building up my second leg sleeve… (obviously now it’s complete),” she shared with her followers.

Let’s talk about the pain: Jojo got real about the brutal reality of full leg sleeves, admitting it takes a lot of time—think 30+ hours per leg depending on the design. And the pain? Yeah, it’s no joke. “The most painful parts of the leg are the knee, behind the knee, under the bum, everywhere really!” she joked, revealing the brutal spots that had her in tears during sessions. “Poor Mike sat through me crying multiple times,” she added, showing some love for her tattoo artist, Mike, who had to bear witness to it all.

But here’s the twist: despite the pain and long recovery times, Jojo has zero regrets. “Tattoos cover every insecurity you have. I don’t regret one,” she said, proudly declaring that her body is now a work of art.

Jojo’s tattoo journey is no small feat. Earlier this year, she shared that over the course of eight years, she’s invested between R200 000 to R300 000—possibly even more—into her tattoos. Each piece holds significant meaning, marking important chapters in her life. It’s clear these aren’t just tattoos for Jojo; they’re milestones.

Jojo’s not done yet, though. After a year-long break from getting inked, she’s ready to finish up the last 15% of her full body sleeve. “I can’t wait to complete the last 15% ish of my full body sleeve. (I’m not doing the face),” she teased, leaving us curious about what’s next!
