This is the next chapter in the genre-blending, culture-crossing EP series from BFM Records, the music arm of South Africa’s powerhouse non-profit, Bridges For Music.
If you caught her earth-shaking set on the Ubuntu Stage at EDC Las Vegas 2024, you already know she’s not here to play. Representing Mzansi with flair, fire, and flawless mixing, she didn’t just perform she made amapiano history on one of the world’s biggest dance music stages. And clearly, Bridges For Music noticed.
Now, they’re handing her the creative reins of their flagship project and let’s just say, she’s not holding back.
As the mastermind behind Mix It Up Vol.4 which is set to be released on September 19, Uncle Waffles is calling the shots curating the sounds, handpicking the producers, and crafting a sonic experience that blends African authenticity with global flair. Think of it as a musical passport stamped in every genre.
The lineup? Absolute fire. We’re talking UK rap icon Ghetts, Nigerian vocal goddess Fave, rising star Chy Cartier, and a dream team of South Africa’s finest beat wizards Royal MusiQ, TK Creedlion, Ice Beats Slide, Sbuda Maleather, and Makhanj. Get ready for a fusion of amapiano, afrobeat, and whatever else the world’s dance floors are craving.
But this isn’t just about sick beats. The Mix It Up series has been bridging continents and breaking boundaries since Volume 1. With roots in community empowerment, the project pairs raw, local talent with international heavyweights launching careers and lighting up stages from Poland to Thailand to Amsterdam.
