THE STORY OF THE LEGENDARY MAC MILLER: GONE TOO SOON

Malcolm James McCormick, born January 19, 1992, kicked off rapping at 15 in 2007, dropping raw mixtapes that captured youthful chaos. By 2010, he signed with Rostrum Records, unleashing breakthroughs like K.I.D.S. and Best Day Ever. The latter’s “Donald Trump” track blew up, hitting Billboard and going platinum.

Blue Slide Park (2011) topped Billboard 200 as the first independent debut since ’95, all frat-rap energy. He founded REMember Music in 2013, then jumped to Warner Bros. for experimental gems: Watching Movies with the Sound Off (2013), GO:OD AM (2015), and soulful The Divine Feminine (2016) with Ariana Grande collabs

Swimming (2018) earned a posthumous Grammy nod, diving deep into addiction struggles. Mac died September 7, 2018, from an accidental overdose. Posthumous Circles (2020) showed his jazz-rap growth, cementing him as a versatile legend.
