On Wednesday night, esteemed South African rapper Nasty C took to his Instagram page and posted a reel excusing his inconsistency when it comes to his engagement on the internet. The rapper admit that the past three months have not been the best for him and that he has not been in the best headspace.
“I haven’t been in the right headspace to make any kind of cool happy content, because I have not been happy.” The rapper admits. He continued to say that the new month of March has its own series of struggles that are building up as he soldiers on, but this has only been in his personal life and has no critical effect on his career.
His intention was to roll out bundles of content over the course of this year so far, but his personal struggles have brought him to face his humanity and learn his limits when he does not feel the ability to give himself fully.
“I can’t be an entertainer for you right now. I can’t dance for you, I can’t be funny, I can’t even motivate you right now. I need all that stuff,” he continued. He continued to say that sympathy is not what he is currently after, even though he would be grateful, but the purpose of him recording the video was simply to connect.
With his deluxe album for “Free” coming out in a week, he requests that his fans and listeners just simply be there for it. However, he is just not in the best space to be making any consistent content and posting updates. He only hopes to get past this rough patch in his life peacefully and asks that his fans hold it down for him while he’s away.
