On Sunday afternoon, Barbados-born singer Rihanna was present in her home when a Los Angeles woman opened fire towards the house.
According to TMZ, the woman has been apprehended after firing multiple shots towards the singer’s house. The singer is said to have been in the house at the time of the shooting, but she remains unharmed.
The shooter is described to be a woman around 30 years of age and was detained by law enforcement at the scene. While the singer was confirmed to have been present at the time of the shooting, it has not been confirmed if her husband and children were home.
The motive of the shooting has not been declared yet, but police are still investigating what could have prompted it. Photos from the scene showed yellow police tape outside the singer’s home.
The Fenty Beauty founder purchased the stunning home, featuring an open-air courtyard and pool, just across the street from Sir Paul McCartney in 2021. The five-bedroom home, which includes seven bathrooms, is located on a secluded, lush cul-de-sac in the mountains, sits on a sprawling 21,958-square-foot lot, and was originally built in the 1930s.
Other neighbors on the same quiet street include Mariah Carey, who has been leasing a property a few doors down for years as well as Madonna.
