Staff at Mahikeng Hospital receive COVID-19 test results

Staff members at the Mahikeng Provincial Hospital in the North West have received their COVID-19 test results.

The tests were done after a doctor who works at the public institution — as well as at a private hospital — tested positive for the virus.

The COVID-19 test results aren’t being disclosed at this point.

Mahikeng Provincial Hospital acting CEO Bushy Belle said 54 staff members have been tested in public facilities and 28 have been tested privately.

The hospital underwent deep cleaning and parts will be back in use by Tuesday.
