SA COVID-19 positive cases pass 100,000 mark

The number of positive COVID-19 cases in South Africa is 101,590. According to the Department of Health, 1, 353 176 tests have been conducted.

There has been a further 61 COVID-19 related deaths — 39 from Western Cape, 18 from the Eastern Cape, 3 from KwaZulu Natal, and 1 from Limpopo. This brings the total national deaths to 1,991.

“The number of recoveries is 53 444, which translates to a recovery rate of 52,6%,” said the health department.
