Former Scandal! Actress Masasa Mbangeni‘s death on the drama this week left viewers deep in their feelings, as many were not ready to say goodbye to the loved but also hated character of Thembeka Shezi.
Six months ago when Thembeka’s character viewers were made aware that she was back for “unfinished business” and had only six months to live. However, viewers enjoyed having her back on screens that they forget that her role would be shortlived, and especially since she was misdiagnosed one would think her role would be around longer.
Now it makes sense when she said she only had 6 months to live. This is the six months she was talking about. We didn’t take hint.. MXXXM @MsMasasa I’m really hurt 💔😭💔😭. Was never ready for #Thembeka ‘s EXIT #etvScandal but oh well YOU ARE DAMN FINE ACTOR. #RIPTHEMBEKASHEZI

Well, Thembeka’s death hit viewers hard and left them in total disbelief as she was gunned down by Mthunzi in a bitter moment.
Responding to a fan on Twitter who said that Thembeka character shouldn’t have died, Masasa responded by letting her know there was no other way but for her to die as it was pitched to her six months ago.
That’s what’s was pitched to me 6 months ago. There was no other way ❤️ https://t.co/QxptQEiGDy
