Entity and activity description
In this position, the incumbent will be sorting, pre-checking and filling Industrial packaged gas products in line with work instructions and know and promote safe behaviour and adhere to quality and safety standards whilst operating in the Filling Station.
Missions and Responsibilities
Responsible for maintaining housekeeping in the facility
Record daily filling operations on a Production Record sheet and maintaining adequate stock of gases and test dates for cylinder repairs
Monitor equipment and report malfunctions to Supervisor
Adhere to food safety prerequisite programmes (PRPs), SOP’s and the food safety management system to meet customer and product specifications of food-grade gases
Rotate on a shift system as per roster
Ensure that scales, pressure gauges, infra-red thermometers are calibrated and verified
Ensure empties are moved to empty platforms for filling, in pallets/baskets and the faulty cylinders to be investigated and sent to the repair station once pre-filling checks have been carried out
Responsible for sorting cylinders according to correct gas types, filling of cylinders according to the appropriate gases and are moved to the correct allocated area for loading
