COVID-19: Infections decreasing in South Africa

There has been another big decrease in new COVID-19 infections. Just over 2,500 cases have been reported in the last 24 hours.

This takes the total number of infections in the country to more than 566,000.

130 more people have died from the virus, this brings the death toll to 10,751. Meanwhile, KwaZulu-Natal has breached the 100,000 mark.

It also has the second-highest cases edging past the Western Cape. South Africa now has a recovery rate of 75 percent.
