Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane is expected to appear in court on Wednesday in a bid to stop Parliament from removing her from office.
The case was scheduled for March but was postponed indefinitely due to COVID-19.
Mkhwebane is applying for an interim interdict on removal processes pending a judicial review.
She says the rules passed by Parliament last year to deal with her removal are unconstitutional.
National Assembly Speaker Thandi Modise is opposing the application.
