Lerato Kganyago (born on 22 July 1982 in Soweto) is a South African businesswoman, television presenter, model, and socialite. 

She gained popularity for being the host of her talk show on Soweto TV. 

She is also known to many South Africans for being the host on The Link, an SABC1 lifestyle magazine show.

She kicked off her career in academics at Ipolokeng Primary school. 

Lerato furthered her education at Boksburg High School and there she had her matriculation.

She attended Damelin College where she has a Diploma in Travel and Tourism, and Public Relations.

Family

Lerato grew up under the protective care of her parents, her mother Rae and her dad “whom she describes as being absent emotionally”.

She is also the niece to Kaizer Khanyago, a SABC spokesman. On social media, the TV personality shared with followers on the betrayal, grudges, and pain she held against her dad.

Husband

In March 2020, Leratho got wedded to Thani Ndlala who is a South African businessman at her mother’s house in Boksburg. 

The couple had a traditional wedding of which many invites were her celebrities friends.

Entrepreneur Lerato is the owner of an event management company, Black Angel, and was a co-partner in the FTV (Centurion) franchise. 

She also landed deals with many notable events in South Africa including:

  • The face of Jawad Products in Lesotho
  • Revlon, Always Ultra Campaigns

  • Tropica alongside hosting music festivals as an MC.

Divorce

Many South Africans were shocked to hear she is separated from her husband.

The couple separated after about two months of marriage, it triggered reactions by fans on Social media.

Though neither presenter nor her husband shared the reason for their divorce.

Thami is allegedly a fraud that might have led to their divorce and probably could be the reason behind their divorce.

Pageant Holder

She took home the Miss Jam Alley 2002 crown after taking part in the beauty pageant in 2002.

In 2003, Lerato took part in the contest for Miss City Press crown and finished as a finalist.

After two years, in 2005, she took home the Miss Soweto Crown in 2005.

Media

As an entertainment news updater, Lerato also appeared on the drive time show on Jozi Fm, alongside DJ Hulks.

Still, as an entertainer, she was a host of a car show that covers updates on the latest rides and celebrities that drive the car.

For four (4) years Kganyago served as a presenter at Soweto TV, a community television station (2008-2012).

Lerato was hired to replace Bonang Matheba as the host of a lifestyle TV show on The Link on SABC1 in 2012. 

She also became the cost-host of SABC1 music show LIVE Amp in 2016.

Acting Career

She landed a role in the e.tv drama series 4Play: Sex Tips for Girls in 2010.

Lerato has also landed cameo roles on Live, alongside Crazy Lu. She landed the role of Mmasebotsana Primrose Mojalefa, in 2015 in the SABC2 soapie Muvhango and made her first appearance on the 11th of June 2015.
