She became known to many for appearing on the reality show, The Real Housewives of Johannesburg (RHOJ).

Mpumi entered the show, RHOJ season 2, with lots of drama. She made some unkind comments about Brinette during her time of trouble.
Other ladies then decided to be hostile towards her and had a plot against her to retaliate.
Cheating allegation
With joined effort, they brought hell on her in reunion episodes to get back at her.
Mpumi was accused to be adulterous by Brinette, this triggered lot of drama in the reality show.
RHOJ star Mpumi Mophatlane believes that co-star, Brinnette Seopela, crossed the line attacking her marriage.
She claimed that Brinnette had to lie to get back at her, but Brinnette confidently accused her of cheating and gossiping.
Viewer and supporters of the show were not left out of the drama, they joined drama on social media.
They seem not to be in support of the controversial comments she makes several times.
Mihlali Ndamase, famous South African Vlogger, confronted Mpumi after she posted a comment to suggested that ‘African men are robbers’.
“Bathong Mrs Mops and Lebo’s remarks about the boys in the last episode of #RHOJ were so cringed… ‘OMG, are we gonna get robbed?'” Ndamase wrote.
