Eskom has welcomed the National Energy Regulator of SA’s agreement to buy more power infrastructure.
Over the past few months, the troubled utility has been experiencing supply constraints.
It said 12,000 megawatts of power will be added to the grid over the next 10 years.
CEO André de Ruyter says this will help to end load-shedding. He also says the utility will get an additional 2,000 megawatts of emergency power by December next year.
