The Health Department recorded 49 new COVID-19 deaths in South Africa, taking the total number of fatalities to 15,427.
The recovery rate remains at 89.9%.
Most of the new deaths are from the Western Cape and Gauteng.
Over 1,800 new COVID-19 cases have been reported.
