Nearly 2,000 new COVID-19 cases have been reported in South Africa in the last 24 hours. The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in South Africa is 723,682 after 1,912 new cases were identified.
The Department of Health has reported 66 new COVID-19 related deaths in the country
This brings the total number of coronavirus related deaths in South Africa to 19,230.
The number of people who have recovered from the virus now stands at 653,052 which translates to a 90-per cent recovery rate.
