COVID-19: Major awareness campaign launched in NMB

Eastern Cape health officials, including the MEC, as well as the police, have embarked on a major coronavirus awareness campaign in Port Elizabeth.

President Cyril Ramaphosa has this week revealed that Nelson Mandela Bay is the epicentre of COVID-19 in South Africa.
The infection and death rates have been escalating drastically.

Infection rates have ranged between 400 and 700 people a day over the past five days, putting a lot of pressure on Nelson Mandela Bay’s hospitals.
