UDM member Mncedisi Filtane dies of COVID-19

UDM Deputy National Chairperson, Mncedisi Filtane has died from COVID-19.

Filtane was a member of the Eastern Cape provincial legislature.

He was admitted to the hospital on Friday with low oxygen levels and died on Sunday morning.

On Friday, former Nelson Mandela Bay mayor, Mongameli Bobani was laid to rest.

Bobani died last week due to COVID-19.

Meanwhile, Eastern Cape Premier, Oscar Mabuyane has also tested positive for the virus.

Mabuyane has been isolating at home.

There has been concern about the growing number of COVID-19 cases in the Eastern Cape.
