The Health Department confirmed 12,267 new COVID-19 cases in South Africa taking the cumulative number of infections to 1,337,926.
The department also confirmed a further 254 COVID-19 related deaths, taking the deaths toll in SA to 37,105.
According to the health department, South Africa has seen 1,098,441 recoveries.
