The surge in COVID-19 infections continues. The health department reported that 16,726 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed.
KwaZulu-Natal has the most active cases at present. Sadly, another 418 people have died. The total death toll is 28,887.
The good news is that there have been more than 887,000 recoveries so far. Over 6.6 million tests have been conducted.
