KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Transport, Community Safety and Liaison, Bheki Ntuli, has died aged 63.
The ANC in the province confirmed Ntuli’s death in a media statement on Saturday. He was also ANC Provincial Executive Committee (PEC) member.
ANC KwaZulu-Natal spokesperson, Nhlakanipho Ntombela, said Ntuli died after “a short illness”.
Ntombela said the party will release an official statement once the Office of the Premier has made an announcement.
The ANC called for space for the Ntuli family to mourn until further details are announced.

DJ Fresh and DJ Euphonik on Saturday were taken off air on music station 947. The pair reached an agreement with Primedia Broadcasting that they would step down from their roles with immediate effect after rape cases were opened against the two.
