At least 700 healthcare workers have so far received COVID-19 vaccination training in Gauteng.
That’s according to the provincial health department, which says it was ready for the rollout that was supposed to begin on Wednesday.
There are plans to have just over 600 vaccination centres across the province by the time rollout goes to the public.
Healthcare workers are also able to get access to training material via the internet and can watch explanatory videos on the training for the different vaccines.
Provincial authorities say they’re going through extensive training.
