The number of new COVID-19 infections and deaths continue to decline in South Africa. There are 2,435 new cases that were recorded in the last 24-hour reporting period. This brings the active cases in the country to 69,641.
The country’s recoveries now stand at 1,360,204, representing a recovery rate of 92-percent.
Unfortunately, 110 more people have died of COVID-19 related illnesses. The total death toll now stands at 46,290.
