COVID-19: SA records 1,911 new cases, 151 deaths

The number of infections has passed the one-and-half-million mark. But, the good news is the recovery rate continues to improve, with active cases declining, now standing at just under 45,000.

Unfortunately, 151 more people have died, taking the death toll to 48,859. In terms of the vaccine rollout, as of 6 pm on Friday, 6,524 healthcare workers have been vaccinated.
