There have been 965 new COVID-19 cases that have been reported in the last 24 hours in South Africa.
That brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 1,545,431. Fifteen more people have died, taking the death toll to 52,663.
Six people died in Gauteng, four in Mpumalanga, three in the Free State, and one each in KwaZulu-Natal and the Western Cape.

There are currently 20,869 active cases in the country.
