The chairperson of Parliament’s Police Portfolio Committee, Tina Joemat-Pettersson, has condemned the violence during the Wits student protest.
Joemat-Pettersson says the killing of Mthokozisi Ntumba is unacceptable.
The 35-year-old Ntumba was leaving a clinic in the area of the protest when he was shot.
She is calling for a speedy investigation and has extended condolences to Ntumba’s family.
