The health department said 47 more people have died of COVID-19 in South Africa.
This brings the total number to just over 52,000.
The number of confirmed cases is also up, now to more than 1.5 million.
That’s an increase of 1,378 cases.
The recovery rate stands at 95 percent with over 9.5 million tests conducted so far.
In terms of the vaccine rollout, the number still stands at 182,983.
