It’s quiet on the streets of Braamfontein on Thursday morning following violent clashes between police and protesting students on Wednesday.
Students have been protesting against the financial exclusion of fellow students.
The Wits Youth League and South African Students Congress feel the university is being unreasonable as several other universities scrapped registration fees.
They’ve also slammed the police following the fatal shooting of a bystander.
Students are threatening further protests.
