The Department of Health reported 1,294 new COVID-19 cases in South Africa. A total of 51 more people have died, taking the death toll to 52,897.
SA’s COVID-19 recovery rate is at 95 percent. A total of 269,102 vaccines have been administered to date.
The government is urging people to continue to follow precautionary measures.
