In 2017, Cassper made history again, he became the first South African hip-hop artist to host a concert at FNB stadium. Even though he did not fill up the stadium, the concert was still a success. He managed to sell about 68 000 tickets of his 75 000 target. One of the issues that Cassper highlighted was that he was struggling to find sponsorship. However, Standard Bank came through for him.

Still on the hip-hop news, A-Reece’s fans were disappointed to learn that he will no longer perform at the club Mint in Johannesburg. The rapper was booked to perform on Friday, however, the event’s manager removed him from the line-up.
Taking to Instagram stories, the event manager said the reason why he took A-Reece of the line-up is because of the poor organization from A-Reece’s team.
He wrote: “Had to remove A-Reece because of the poor organization from his team nonetheless we rock with the god of trap! See you tomorrow for another sold-out show.”
However, A-Reece rubbished the claims saying that the event organizer could not meet his requirements.
“No, I’m removed because their team couldn’t meet the requirement. All that extra stuff is bs,” responded the rapper.
