Western Cape Transport MEC, Bonginkosi Madikizela, says he didn’t lie about his qualifications.
He is accused of misrepresenting his post-matric qualification.
Madikizela has apologized to the public and the Democratic Alliance.
“I regret this, and I want to apologize unreservedly, especially to the public and to my party. I will subject myself fully to the internal processes of the party.”
Madikizela also stepped aside from his role as the DA’s Western Cape leader.
He will be on suspension for 14 days as investigations are concluded.
