New COVID-19 variants’ behaviour unknown, says Minister Mkhize

Health Minister Zweli Mkhize says it’s unclear how the new variants identified in the country will behave.

At least four people here have tested positive for the variant that’s been devastating India.

And 11 people have tested positive for the variant first detected in the UK.

Mkhize says the best way to minimize the impact is to limit the spread of the virus as much as we can.
