Lobola negotiations have begun for the new AmaZulu King’s sweetheart.
There has been much speculation as to whether or not King Misuzulu has already been married.
Earlier this week, Traditional Prime Minister Mangosuthu Buthelezi defended the king, saying he didn’t have to be married in order to ascend to the throne.
A group of negotiators arrived at Ntokozo Mayisela’s home in Newcastle on Thursday evening to begin talks with her family.
Meanwhile, the king has hit the ground running with a series of meet and greets.
KwaZulu-Natal Premier Sihle Zikalala has pledged his government’s support to the King at the Royal Palace in KwaNongoma.
The king has also had back-to-back meetings with several other leaders in the province.
