South Africa has recorded 59 coronavirus-related new deaths.
The total number of confirmed COVID-19 deaths is 55,183
2,750 new cases have also been recorded in the last 24 hours.
This takes the total to 1,611,143-million infections but of those, just 32,717 cases remain active.
The country’s recovery rate is at 94.5-percent.
The second phase of the vaccine roll-out is expected to begin on Monday.
