Generations: The Legacy actor Paballo Mavundla (Jerah Moroka) joins Isono

Actor Paballo Mavundla has joined BET drama, Isono.

Paballo is best known for his role as Jerah Moroka on Generations: The Legacy.

He’ll play Sphiwe on the show, a young schoolkid from a well-off family who’s slightly embarassed to be seen with “lower class” friends when his middle-class friends are around.

Speaking to Daily Sun, Paballo said: “With everything that’s been happening in the industry and many productions shutting down, I was overjoyed when I was called for the role.

“But what got me more excited was that I was going to meet new people.

“Meeting new people and growing your network is important in this field.”
The 22-year-old, who’ll play a teenager on the show, said this was a new experience for him.

“I’ve never played a schoolkid before. I enjoyed stepping into his shoes because he gave me a different perspective on life: that adults aren’t the only ones who go through a lot,” said Paballo.

“Teenagers also go through a lot and face challenges such as pressure from parents, peer pressure, and the general feeling of being overwhelmed.

“It hasn’t been long since I completed school, so stepping into Sphiwe’s shoes wasn’t a difficult task.

“All I had to do was to recall my high school days and apply that experience to the character.

“I can’t wait to see how the audience reacts. There’s nothing to love about him because of the way he treats the people he calls friends.”
