The COVID-19 third wave is ravaging Gauteng. Over 9,000 new cases have been reported in the last 24 hours with 69 percent of those in Gauteng.
Another 341 people have been admitted to the hospital.
The military health services unit is being deployed to assist at provincial hospitals.
At the same time, authorities are considering harsher restrictions.
