Staff in the Higher Education sector will start getting the jab from today.
But, only those above the age of 35 will be eligible during the first phase of the rollout.
Students, though, will be next.
“The reason why we are opening to 35 years and above is because in our own sector that’s the guideline from the department of health,” said Blade Nzimande, Minister of Higher Education.
The department is set to start its rollout on Saturday, with only a few vaccination sites.
