SA’s biggest music TV show Live Amp gets cancelled after 25 seasons

South African biggest music TV show, Live Amp has been announced and confirmed to be cancelled after decades of entertainment.

Social media expert, Phil Mphela broke the news on Twitter, “After a decade on air, SABC1’s primetime music show Live Amp is ending. The new season, themed The Last Dance, is its farewell run. The final season premieres this Friday 9th July 2021 at 19:30,” he said.

However, DJ Speedsta who hosts the show alongside Lamiez Holworthy was shocked to get informed about the cancellation of the show on social media and not directly from SABC. Though, Speedsta later confirmed that the show is indeed over.

“Lol. Damn!! You really couldn’t wait for this one hey?! To tell you the truth, I was waiting for a Phil Mphela update about “1’s & 2’s” earlier in the year. Even tweeted you. All good. Yeah we cancelled & outdated G,” SJ Speed said.

However, the last season, season 25 will be airing tomorrow.
