COVID-19 relief grant applicants struggle with process

Some applicants for the reintroduction of the COVID-19 relief grant are struggling with the process.

So far, over 10 million South Africans have registered for the R350 grant.

Just over 600,000 of them are in the Western Cape.

Sassa says it plans to create more awareness on how people can apply.

The first payments for this new round of COVID-19 relief grants were made this week.

The temporary reintroduction of the payments is expected to end in March next year.
