DJ Finzo (born Phinel “Finzo” Sefatsa) is a South African Disk Jockey and actor. His acting profession walked him to the limelight. He is known to many television viewers as a businessperson who agrees to make an investment proposal from two taxi drivers in Taxi Ride.
In the comedy miniseries, he was cast as Mr. Chuene, the character who tries to win his family back after he was caught cheating.

Background
His childhood experience was one that changes his countenance each time he remembers. He struggled as a child since he looked different from others in his environment.
This changed his mood each time as he cried and asked questions. Phinel suffers “dwarfism” and could remember how this made him ashamed.
He recounted asking his father to carry him to avoid people around making fun of him. His father was very supportive and always left him with words of encouragement.
He would tell me that only God knows why I am born the way I am and he would reassure me of his love.

He shared that the beautiful lady has been with him even when things were hard for him. She chose him when he was still looking for a job and believed in him and his dreams all these years.
Career
Phinel might be the shortest Disk Jockey in South Africa, but his talents speak for him.
Though, he may be the only DJ in the country who stands on crates and pillows for his shows, that makes him even more unique.
Popularly addressed by the stage name “DJ Finzo”, he works at Lesedi FM as a music compiler and presenter.
Though he is still independent even with his popularity. He had made attempts to bag record deals with several labels.
He has made appearances in several gigs with many popular artists. DJ Finzo has collaborated with artists like Oskido, DJ Fresh, Mahoota, and Black Coffee. And is making a name for himself in the industry.
He is working with BackBone Productions and his single Wa Balata feat. Thuso Motaung received massive airplay on national radio stations.
In 2020, he dropped his single Sweet and Short featuring Kay Tyler, Sessy and Jumbo. Colleagues at his place of work, Lesedi FM, have supported his dreams. He has also performed in other countries including New York and Miami.

He is a father and took to social media a picture of him and his daughter. He is brother to the “Herbalife distributor” Lorato Ma’Ellas Phetlhu.
On Mother’s day, he appreciated the woman who brought him into this world and thanked her for taking care of him.

Accident
In 2020, he appeared in the news for being involved in an accident. The unfortunate incident happened on the morning of 13 April after his Mini Cooper lost control.
His ride was damaged on the right wheel arm and he was lucky to be alive and did not sustain any injury.
Speaking to the press, he said that he lost control at the robots after a truck appeared and disobeyed the traffic light.
Though the light was red, the truck skipped it and the deejay who was trying to avoid being hit by the truck lost control.
Even after the incident, the truck driver continued his journey. Though his car was affected, he was thankful to the Lord.
