An intense cold front is expected to hit parts of the country on Thursday.
The Weather Service has issued a warning of heavy rain.
“We are starting into Friday and Saturday into the weekend in rainfall in regions like the Western Cape, especially the City of Cape Town,” said Lehlohonolo Thobela from the South African Weather Service.
“They can expect rainfall conditions that will lead to flooding. I think, into the weekend, Saturday [from] Sunday, conditions start improving.”
