Nicholas Ninow granted right to appeal his life sentence

Convicted child rapist, Nicholas Ninow, will be allowed to appeal his life sentence.

He was sentenced to life in prison after he assaulted a 7-year-old in the bathroom of a Dros restaurant in Pretoria.

He claimed he was high on drugs at the time.

The case became one of the most intensely followed rape trials in South Africa.

Following direct petitions to the Supreme Court of appeals, it is allowing him to plead his case.

Activist group “Not In my name” is branding the move ‘Nonsensical’.
